BBC online player is showing repeats of various programmes, but why are they never in order?

Father Brown started off OK with Series One, episodes 1, 2 and 3.

It then jumped to Series Eight

With Eggheads, they missed an episode out

Went smoothly to episode 50, then went to 52, so the £1000 rollover is not continuous.

That is just two I have noticed, there are probably more.

Some of the Freeview channels do that too. Boy is it irritating?

The BBC are on my (s)hit list..I can't bear to watch it lately. What with Emily Maitlis and Fiona Bruce, they are trying to turn everything into a political circus. It's such a pity because they are second to none when filming wildlife programmes. I don't watch much drama so I haven't noticed how they are showing their repeats, but it must be so annoying.
