Mine is from underneath too...it really grates when I see a roll placed 'wrong'. I just have to put it right!

I disagree ........Over the top (right hand one)
Your hand only touches the sheets you are using and doesn't touch the wall either so avoids cross contamination.

So Astro ..... You don't make the end into a little triangle, hotel -style then?!! 😉

I do an evening office cleaning job and they actually have a policy on this. The one on the right is how they say it should be done.

I've noticed that as the bathrooms are upgraded they are changing the holders to the type where the roll is side-on and enclosed, no need to touch anything that the user doesn't intend to use.

The one on the right in our household - means that any condensation on the tiled wall, following a bath or a shower, doesn't make the paper stick to the wall.

Hello, mind if I join you?

On the subject of toilet rolls. I grab a new roll from it's dispenser and stick it onto the toilet roll holder without checking what way round it is.

Consequently we have an ever changing "Toilet roll hang" in our bathroom. Actually I'm happy if someone has put a new one on, I don't care which way round it goes 🙂

Why is it that most people cannot be bothered to release those springy cored holders to put on a new roll, but just bung one to balance on top?

I saw a poll once about this subject. Apparently about 90 something percent of people prefer the roll as on the above photograph. So Busty and I are in the minority. But I do wonder....how can such a high percentage of people get it so wrong?😏
