It's the day with the longest night.

After today, each night will be a little shorter and it's the start of the time when we can begin to look forward to the best time of year, SPRING. Celandines, Wood Anemones and the Bluebells. All the trees will be bursting out in that lovely Green, April Green?

No wonder the ancients celebrated the day?
