Anyone got a friend like mine who never stops talking.

I phoned her an hour ago to give her a quick message, and she is still yapping away

Before now I have laid the phone down on the table, gone into kitchen and made tea, came back and she was still prattling

She tends to talk a lot and say nothing. My mind tends to switch off after about 10 minutes so I have no idea what she is on about.

I have, I sometimes wonder what they get out of a "conversation" as they do 90% of the talking but don't do much listening.

Oh yes....my sister and I have a mutual friend who talks for hours, non stop. If we spot her in town, we make a very swift detour to avoid her, as we know we are about to lose an hour of valuable time if we don't. The conversation is always about her, her family, her dogs, her house, her ailments etc...she never ever says 'how are you?'.Absolutely self-absorbed.

astro, my talkative friend can crochet, so she is doing squares for me.
