That is the thing, nothing at all can be done about the attackers/murderers until such time they actually do something to be arrested for, or killed for. By that time of course, as well we all know, many innocent people are murdered, and injured before the evil people are stopped.

No one can read anyone's mind, so of course no one knows what an evil person has in mind to do.

Thankfully as at the Manchester Concert recently the security was as tight as could be, and nothing at all terrible happened. Had the security not been as tight, well, it doesn't need a vivid imagination to know what could actually have happened.

It's been reported that some of the "attackers" were known to the security services a while back. The thing is, under present Laws, what evidence could be presented to warrant some sort of detention?

With the benefit of hindsight, it's easy to say "something should have been done about them before they did anything bad" but just what could have been done?

Wouldn't you have heard the howls of protest from the do-gooders and liberals (with a small "l") about their "human rights", their "civili liberties", their "freedom of speech" and etc had some sort of detention or restriction of movement been placed on them?

All things considered, just what could have been done?

I don't see how we can do any more than is already evident without affecting our way of life/civil liberties, indeed if the shadow attorney general had her way police would be armed with feather dusters and expected to ask permission before mounting a raid on suspects. What I think is clear is that there are many family members who are aware of the fanatics ideology and they must do more to alert others within their own community and beyond. As for those known to have visited Syria surely they could have their passports revoked? After all they are unlikely to have travelled with Thompson holidays on an all inclusive deal are they?

I completely agree with your last paragraph , but with upward of 20,000 on the known list and god knows how many more around the edges what can we do that doesn't fall foul of the human rights legislation/ European courts etc etc. And Sharmi has been named as one of the most powerful women in Britain I wonder why?
