Not while there is a ready market for such devices. Things have been made worse by the dash for cash mentality which has left so many sports in a position where they are out of the reach of so many people. I wonder how many actually watch the premier league these days compared to when it was on the Beeb.

It takes two to tango as the saying goes, so interpret it as you wish, I get concerned about accusations of victimisation, people generally understand the risks they are taking when they enter into this type of proposition. Intellectual property needs to be protected however at the moment they put things beyond the realistic reach of so many which leads to pirating etc. I remember the first time we had a tape recorder I immediately wired it up to record pick of the pops there was no way as a youngster with a paper round I could afford to buy every single although I did buy some. What's the difference?

Do you really think the sellers of these boxes are being altruistic when they advertise their products - arguments based on how or why a buyer may use their products has no bearing on the seller's activities which is purely based on how much they can make at the expense of copyright holders.

No of course I don't, but they are simply satisfying a willing market for profit . Like any black market. I abhor drugs especially illegal ones yet they are freely available on our streets and each time one pusher is put away another steps in to meet demand, once again nothing whatsoever altruistic about it just satisfying an ever growing market. All I am suggesting is that in the case of TV people should be able to access it for a reasonable sum, over the years our mational free to air has had its offering cherry picked which has resulted in many programmes becoming out of reach of the average viewer, So in many ways these people are doing us a service.

With that argument, you could say that drug dealers are doing the addicts a service? = Providing something they can't get any other way?

Anyway, I think the sellers are being targeted because they're MUCH easier to find than back-street drug dealers. It never ceases to amaze me how large shipments of larger illegal items make it to our shores and thinking about that angle, I wonder how much illegal narcotics make it through?

There's thousands of shipping containers arriving daily and it's impossible (with the resources available) to screen them all so who knows what's inside them?

The only thing they can ban is those boxes already loaded with certain add-ons to enable free viewing of the latest films and live football etc,nothing to stop people buying the basic box and loading on their own add-ons after a bit of googling,after all it can be done to the Am**** fire sticks and they won't ban those!
