Benefits of being old:

1. Being a Banker for your children ( so they can have what they want now and not have to wait until they've earned it ).

2. Being a childminder for your grandchildren ( so their parents can have the life you could only dream of.........kids AND freedom )

3. Being a hotel for your children ( when they screw up their lives, having ignored your advice and have nowhere else to go )

4. Being able to talk complete and utter garbage ( and have an excuse ) even if you've always talked it.

5. Being a Taxi service for your family ( as long as you can drive ) until you can't drive any more, at which time YOU'LL be catching the Bus.

6. Disappearing into a land of " Beige ".

7. Wearing one of those Khaki Safari suits in the middle of winter.

8. Wondering why everybody is looking at you, just because you're wearing your Pyjamas in Tesco ( when the rest of the time you're invisible ).

9. Dreaming of winning the 100 meters, in world record time, while floating up the staircase in your stair lift.

10. Pondering whether you'd prefer your mind, or your body, to pack up first.
