How to upload tracking if you were using UK Mail
We want to make you aware of the correct process for uploading tracking details for orders utilising DHL Parcel UK (UK Mail) tracking numbers.
As you may be aware, UK Mail was acquired by DPDHL in 2016 and rebranded to DHL Parcel UK. In 2023 DHL Parcel UK aligned with the DHL eCommerce Division and is now known as DHL eCommerce UK. As a result of this change, you can now select DHL eCommerce UK as the carrier name when using DHL Parcel UK (UK Mail) tracking numbers.
If you are adding tracking directly through the order you will need to make the appropriate changes to select DHL eCommerce UK as the checkout carrier. If you upload via an API or your account is supported via a third-party provider, the appropriate amendments will be needed as per the below:
If using the eBay API to fulfil orders, please be sure to use the Trading API's GeteBayDetails call to retrieve the latest shipping carrier enumeration values. When making the GeteBayDetails call, include the DetailName field in the request payload and set its value to ShippingCarrierDetails. Each valid shipping carrier enumeration value is returned in a ShippingCarrierDetails.ShippingCarrier field in the response payload.
Once the tracking is uploaded with DHL eCommerce UK as the carrier, your buyers will be able to review the tracking events along the item's journey.
