UNABLE TO SEND MESSGE
Summary: kefos_3099 reported an issue with being unable to send messages to a seller on multiple devices and browsers, including Windows 10, Windows 11, and an iPad. They have tried clearing the cache but continue to face the issue. kat@ebay suggested it might be an intermittent browser-related issue and recommended using the eBay app. kefos_3099 confirmed trying various methods without success. kat@ebay then requested screenshots for further assistance.
I have been trying to send a message to the seller. However I cannot type into the message area and the send button is "inactive". I have tried this on 2 different laptops - win10 and win11 with different browsers firefox and edge also on ipad. I have cleared the cache for the browsers but the result is the same. THIS IS PARTICULAR A NUISANCE WHEN YOU NEED TO MESSAGE THE SELLER -you can't. Ive reported it as a problem to ebay but not hopeful of a response let alone a resolution. Anyone experienced this or solution. Unfortunately there is no tag for messages to put this query under.

·4 days agoHave you scrolled down to the rather indistinct box that you type the message into? Also not all sellers accept messages.

Thank you for your post.
We are not seeing further reports of this at the moment. Having checked on google chrome browser it seems to be working ok
It may be an intermittent browser related issue. I understand you have already cleared cache and cookies. I would advise to give it some time and try it again or if you have access to the eBay app you can try sending the message through there.

OP4 days agoAs I said I have tried firefox edge chrome cleared the cache used win10 win11 ipad and have tried it since same problem.

Can you share screenshots from the browsers you have tried ( blocking out the usernames and message details) showing your view of the message box not working and I'll get it reported with tech.
