Past two days I have been getting this error.
I cannot access the ebay uk site at all without going through a VPN.
My ISP assigns me a static IP so no I cannot just wait for a new one to be assigned to me.
Have tried everything else suggested to do, clearing caches, changing browsers, incognito mode.
Nothing worked.
Even my phone app is throwing a network error as well.
Now I need to use a VPN to access the site and log in going through verification again and again.
On my phone I have to use mobile data for it to work or a vpn.
Can someone from ebay support stop that Akami edge server blocking me from using the site.

·1 week agoI have just seen a message from a Community manager that this is a site issue, and if I tag her here for you, perhaps your account can be added to the ticket for a fix.

Just tried accessing it without the vpn and I am back in business!
I am not getting the error anymore and I didn't have to change any settings, clear cookies etc.
Whatever block has now been lifted. Definitely not a browser issue and most likely the akami edge router die to it working using a proxy.
Probably blocked my IP for some reason, my ISP gives me a static one so not even waiting for it to renew would have worked.
For reference I was using the following browsers and tried clearing caches etc to no avail. Incognito mode did not fix it either.

·1 week agoClear cache and cookies and try Chrome , the site was built around it, it may just be a change of browser to help the issue.

OP1 week agoThanks! Most likely a non browser related issue as it worked fine as long as I was not using my ISP connection i.e. VPN or switch to a mobile phone network.

·1 week agoIf using Firefox, go to settings > privacy & security > manage exceptions
click on that and type in akamai.net and click on and save.
Not sure if firefox will keep it once you exit the browser, give that a try!

Probably wouldn't have solved the issue as I believe I was being blocked on my home network IP at akamai hence the VPN and mobile phone network working fine to access.
I believe ebay shouldn't be blocking us solely due to the privacy and security settings we use on our browsers.
