Size required for variations for multiple sizes?
Has anyone else had a problem with revising or listing new items under variations because you have more than one size, mine say various under the size item specific however it now will not allow me to revise or ilst my items because it says i need to put in a size however i sell numerous sizes on one listing. I have contacted ebay and they have said the tech team are going to fix it, i am worried as i need to add stock but cant?

OP1 month agoHi, Thank you for your reply, it is happening to bra sizes also, unless you put a new listing on you can't revise an old listing as it asks for size, multiple lisings have multiple sizes you can not just put one size and it won't allow the word various. Ebay state they are working on this techincal issue but not joy yet

·1 month ago · EditedWe've had different responses from eBay. One said it was a US change by directors and would not be reversed. Another told us that they'd had lots of reports from other sellers and the technical team were looking into it.
We are paralysed as well. You can't edit anything - images, titles etc as it blocks the changes. The last rep basically said they won't contact sellers, but to keep trying to revise listings and 'hopefully at some point it will be fixed'...
We've had to move some products to other platforms instead.
There are two issues really. One is that it is impossible to list certain items, as eBay have removed the sizes entirely- 10-12, S/M. You just can't list them at all. The second issue is variations where eBay are forcing sellers to put in ONE value for the listing which there isn't one value for.

OP1 month agoIt's ridiculous isn't it, why do they do these things without thinking it through properly. I can list a new item from scratch on ebay and it doesn't require a size in the item specifics but to revise older stock it won't allow me to, not sure what to do, i just keep contacting them, i have had three ebay representatives say they are working on the issue and it will be resolved soon, so fingers crossed!

·1 month ago · EditedCan you list from scratch? Do you mean a single item or variation listing?
When we try, it requires an eBay value to be chosen from their list of set values and will not let us list unless we choose ONE value from their list (variation listings don't work as there's not one size). Anything in a size not from the set list also can't be listed - 10-12, S/M, 13 Years etc.
The only things that can be listed are individual items which are in a size on eBay's list of options, so ONE bra in 34B for example or ONE dress in size 12.
Also noticed today that there are bra sizes missing as well. No K cups available, so no 34K, 36K, 38K etc.
The annoying things about eBay is that their communication is really poor. Instead of having an announcement board with information 'We are aware of an issue with the size attribute in listings' etc, 'We are working to resolve it', you just get silence and have no clue what's happening. Are you supposed to chase it up? Are you supposed to wait?

OP1 month agoI have just done a test listing on ebay, i created a new pretend listing and it was a variation listing, instead of using band size and cup size in the variation you have to select size and it displays all the sizes so you have to choose the sizes ie 34D 34E 34F etc all the sizes that you have for that listing, then when you go through it doesn't ask you for the size in the item specifics and it lets you list it. However i have also seen that there is no K cup which is ridiculous, how can we sell this size on ebay.

·1 month ago · EditedYes, you can do that, but then the items won't show up if buyers use the band size and cup size filters (as these will be left blank, or you'll only be able to choose one value to apply to all variations, the same as 'size').
There used to be a limit on the number of options you could have in the dropdowns. I think it's 50.

So 32-44 band sizes and D-H cup for example won't fit in one listing, so you would need more than one listing for the same product! Some sizes in one listing and others in a different listing.
