Not a great suggestion though that. Have ebay ever stated their site is 'built around chrome'? In the UK usage of Chrome is around 55% so it would be incredible short sighted of ebay to ignore the 45% of users who don't use it!
OP - the issue is likely Firefox side. Have you checked Privacy and Security in Firefox settings?
Go to Manage Firefox Settings Check Privacy and Security Under Browsing Data - check Manage Exceptions Add ebay to 'Allow'
That might fix things - I have a similar issue with YouTube - have just added that so hope that will fix things
eBay is designed to work with most browsers, but if you're using an older version of a browser, or an unsupported browser, your web pages might not display as quickly and some functions and features might not work well.

Wonder when that was last updated as it recommends Safari which caused many a problem in not long past days.
Many of those pages need a serious rewrite. Or perhaps have ' Use Latest Versions 'in a bolder print.
Many have thanked me for advising to switch to Chrome, if it doesn't work on a certain device, then of course try one of the many others, but I'll stick to Chrome works best..... for most !

OP - the issue is likely Firefox side. Have you checked Privacy and Security in Firefox settings?
