Relisting a canceled order
Summary: 4647tom shared their experience about selling a vehicle on a platform where the buyer's account was suspended, and they were unable to relist the item due to technical issues. They expressed frustration with the inability to communicate with a human representative for support. fargvs suggested using Classified Ads as an alternative, providing detailed advice on safely completing vehicle sales. 4647tom appreciated the advice but highlighted their main issue was the inability to relist after a canceled order, emphasizing their frustration with automated customer service.
I sold a vehicle on Frday 10 July, the buyer didn't pay or answer my message to arrange collection.
24 hours later I get a message from ebay that the buyers account has been suspended so I canceled the order.
I tried to relist the item and get a failure message "Well, this is embarrassing. We're sorry, the listing tool isn't working right this second. Please try again later.
I've tried several times and get the same message.
Does anyone know how to resolve the issue or how to communicate with anyone at Ebay other than the robot.
Thanks
Tom

·3 weeks agoStart anew with a Classified listing which will allow for arranging Contact and Viewing over a longer 30 day period until you have a potential Buyer --- you remain in control and only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or a Bank Transfer is safely deposited and confirmed before handing over Vehicle keys/documents on buyer viewing and collection.

·3 weeks agoListing fees are not refunded,, sale or no sale. Unlikely that payment for a Vehicle could be completed through eBay checkout --- instead try Classified Ads at £19.99 for 30 days. --- Set an acceptable Selling price and avoid accepting Offers which will pause the listing and the deal may never be completed ---
Just continue to Negotiate an acceptable selling price and only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or a Bank Transfer is safely deposited/confirmed before handing over Vehicle keys/documents on buyer viewing /collection. No additional FVF selling fee is charged. --- Do not accept PayPal payment. --- stay safe!

OP3 weeks agoThanks for your reply and advice, I'm not looking for a refund, I just want to relist the item because the buyer defaulted. On the canceled order page you get the option to relist but it doesn't work.
I paid for a 10 day listing and because the buyer defauted after day one I've lost the prime weekend market.
Ebay don't expect the payment to be made through the site, the listing page only had one option "cash on colletion".
I've had an Ebay account for many years without too many problems, I just hate that you can't comunicate with a human who can make a decision.
The Atificialy Incompetent Robot is hopeless, as they all are.
Hey Ho, modern life I guess.
