My Postage Preferances V eBay new International Shipping
Summary: 2721lk is experiencing issues with eBay's new International Shipping programme, which overrides their existing postage preferences and allows orders from countries they previously excluded, like Germany. Despite wanting to keep their own shipping exclusions, the system defaults to include nearly all countries. kat@ebay suggests opting out, but 2721lk wants to maintain their preferences without opting out. My postage preferences are 100% correct. Iv'e checked and had ebay check, there is no issue they are functioning fine. I sell only to USA, Canada, Channel Islands and the UK, all other continents and countries are excluded. Today I find I have an order from Germany and my postage preferences have been overridden by the new International Shipping programme which basically states I ship to nearly all the world, but it excludes about ten countries including the Channel Islands. It is like two systems clashing and I cannot resolve this nor change it. Ebay get this sorted.

Thank you for your post.
eBay announced in July that it would be introducing the eBay International Shipping programme. All eligible listings would be auto enrolled begining in August. To opt out of this go to My eBay account > Postage Preferences > eBay Shipping Options, then select “Opt out of the eIS Programme” and submit.

OP3 weeks agoI don't want to opt out, I want to keep my postage preferences and have them applied to all of my listings. However, ebay has not applied my postage preferences to my listings but it's own default list of countries. It says in the email sent to me: "By default, eBay International Shipping includes all eligible countries. If you want to update where you sell, keep your existing country exclusions or opt out entirely, you can manage this at any time in your Postage Preferences."
My postage preferences and the new eBay International Shipping programme are not compatible.

OP3 weeks agoHi again, have read and re-read the above section regards Country Exclusions in FAQ on eIS.
Postage Preferences, say I am enrolled with Business Policies (which I am) and have to view each policy for excluded locations (which I have done) and my excluded locations are all checked. However, there is no toggle to turn off "Expand your reach and ship to more international locations". This toggle is missing.

When you go into exclude postage locations its the "Overide excluded locations" option. It may already be toggled off.
