Issues with inactive and sold listings
I sell individual banknotes to collectors. I am seeing items on the inactive list which I have listed within the last two days. On checking, I confirm that these are on my active list. Others are on the inactive list have been sold. If I go ahead and relist I'll be offering items which have been sold or, if still on my active list, have been sold. I don't see any way of deleting from the inactive list. I doubt that the inactive list is of any value to me.

Thank you for your post.
At times sold items can end up on the inactive list as they are ended items. However active items should not be in there. There is an option to delete items from the inactive list but needs to be done through desktop/browser.
I don't think your account has the seller hub so go to My eBay> Selling and on the left hand side select inactive. Then select the tickbox next to the items and the option to delete is on the top.
