How can a custom furniture delivery tracker integrate with eBay?
Summary: furnituretetris is seeking advice on integrating their custom delivery system, Furniture Tetris Dispatch, with eBay to provide tracking updates and recognize their system as a delivery carrier. They have faced issues with their eBay developer account showing as "Non Compliant" and are asking about the appropriate eBay API and approval process. roger_roger_over_and_nowt and cobwebcottage respond with concerns about compliance with eBay rules and the seller's account status, suggesting potential rule violations.
Hi everyone,
I run a UK vintage furniture business and have built a custom delivery system called Furniture Tetris Dispatch into my Shopify website.
The system currently:
• Creates unique FT tracking references for each furniture delivery
• Provides customers with a public tracking page
• Gives the owner and courier a secure dashboard
• Records intended delivery dates and status updates such as delivery being arranged, collected, in transit, out for delivery and delivered
I would like to connect this system to eBay so that tracking references and delivery-status updates can be passed back to eBay orders, ideally with Furniture Tetris recognised as the delivery carrier.
I have set up an eBay developer account and a Production keyset. The marketplace account-deletion endpoint is configured, the test notification succeeds and the failure-notification email has been saved, but the Production keyset still shows as “Non Compliant”/disabled. I have also seen a warning that the redirect URL and secure application credentials still need completing.
Could anyone advise:
1. Can a small seller register a custom furniture courier/tracking system as an accepted eBay carrier?
2. Which eBay API and approval process should be used to submit tracking and delivery events?
3. If custom-carrier registration is not available, what is the correct way to send these updates while keeping the customer-facing Furniture Tetris tracking reference?
4. Which eBay team can review a Production keyset that remains non-compliant after the account-deletion endpoint has passed its test?
Any guidance from sellers or developers who have integrated a private delivery service would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Tetris Holding do own the trademark for Tetris in the furniture category. Probably quite protective as well I imagine.

If so your plans above may be irrelevant.
Also,"I run a UK vintage furniture business" are you referring to another account as the one you are posting on is not registered as such ?.
