Exploring Challenges with Research Tab & Paid Marketing Eligibility
Summary: valuevaultuk8 is experiencing issues with their eBay UK Individual Seller account, specifically with the Research tab (Terapeak) disappearing and being ineligible for Promoted Listings. papso22 suggests upgrading to a business account, explaining that eBay doesn't distinguish between 'individual seller accounts' but instead offers private and business accounts suitable for different legal entities. valuevaultuk8 seeks clarification on whether these limitations are typical or if there's an issue with their account specifically.
Hi everyone, I’m using an eBay UK Individual Seller account and currently having two issues.
1. My Research tab (Terapeak) was working initially, but suddenly disappeared. When I click Research, it redirects me back to the Overview tab in Seller Hub.
2.I’m also currently unable to use eBay Promoted Listings (paid advertising). My account shows that I’m not eligible for paid marketing/advertising.
Are these limitations/issues with Individual Seller accounts, or is there something wrong with my account? Has anyone else experienced this? or any solution for this?
Thanks in Advance

·2 weeks agoThe solution is to upgrade to a business account. As a sole trader that's what you need to trade legally.

OP2 weeks agoThanks I just wanted to know if the Research tab (Terapeak) and Promoted Listings are normally unavailable on Individual Seller accounts or if there might be an issue with my account?

·2 weeks ago · EditedEbay doesn't have 'individual seller accounts', private accounts will always be for individuals, business accounts cover a number of legal entities including individuals (sole traders).
I have explained the issue with your account
