Ebay App on Android phone not connecting to server.
Saying there is a technical issue and to try again later. That has been since yesterday.

If an uninstall/restart/reinstall in that order does not help, report the issue to eBay if you can, then use a mobile browser instead of the app.

What operating system version number and app version number are you using?
If uninstalling/restarting/reinstalling does not help or if your operating system does not support the latest version of the eBay app, report the issue to eBay by shaking your device while the app is active if you can, then uninstall the app or disable the feature that automatically opens eBay browser links in the app and use a browser to reach ebay.co.uk instead.
Note that if you are using iOS 15, Safari (and possibly other browsers) may not work with eBay any longer unless you can update to a newer OS.

·2 months agoI had issues accessing the App and followed advice to uninstall the App and reinstall through Google Play. This action was refused, with Google saying my phone would not support the App. It turns out, the recent updated version of eBay App will not work on phones operating with system 10, it has to now be 12 or above
I have had to order a new phone, which should come today, but this has been a pain in the neck, with no warning, as far as I know. I expect others will have issues. I hope you get sorted.

·2 months agoI've been having this problem all day today (16th May 2026). Inbox says there are 3 messages, tap on inbox and I get "Try tapping "reload" to try again". Attempting to read the messages in a web browser on a PC and they are not showing at all.

·3 months agoI'm unable to access the app too, has been like this for some weeks. I use Google pixel 9 phone. I can't run searches, access my listings or inbox. I have different messages that come up, dependent on what I try to access.

Check to see you have the latest app version as there has been recent updates.
Android version when updated needs android system 12 and up
IOS newest version works with IOS 18 or later
Ensure you have the correct update with the correct device.

·3 months agoAll of this has been done multiple times. Nothing will make any difference because the App is completely unusable. Totally screwed. I have spent a fortune on Vinted in the last few months as I don't use the desktop version of eBay. If my stuff sells I won't know so I'll have to access the desktop version briefly & remove my items.

Find eBay app and update it.
Close everything.
In your phones settings, find Apps and look for the eBay app.
Press Clear Cashe and also Clear Data.
Open your eBay app and log in.
