Thanks everyone for the speedy help, at least I can browse now, even if it means switching over each time. I will probably limit my use for that reason.
Optional info (rant!) On a more general note, there is a widespread insistence on using the main browsers mentioned, and not the "minor" browsers (ie the ones with better privacy).
Ditto adblockers - many sites have changed their system so you have to whitelist them. Give As You Live have done this and it still won't work - they suggested various things I should do, without mentioning that it would give access to every single company they work with (in the hundreds) not just them! As their site is set up for me to earn funds for them, it seems ill-advised to annoy me so much I disable the app.
Hi there Using Chrome, but followed your instructions and can now see them - does this mean I should pause AdBlock on this page permanently, do you think, as its never happened before? Thanks for your help though x
No shouldn't need to do it permanently, they can check their browser settings to see if they have an option to make an exception for eBay while leaving it on for other sites. Can usually do this through settings > privacy and security .
Thank you I wondered if they meant permanently for eBay, but will tag @lettersandstoryweaver please see Kat's answer above as to having AdBlocker blocked permanently!
As the descriptions can be viewed with no issues in another browser like Chrome it looks like the issue is on Vivaldi's end. This can happen with built in ad blockers in the browser. Try and disable or turn them off and then reload the page to see if that helps with viewing the descriptions.
Me too, for several days. I see whatever is written in the header, the condition details and the photo. Below that there is no written description, or the tick list details sellers fill in.
I also use Vivaldi (Windows 11 PC). I'm not seeing any problems with the description/item specifics (although you do have to scroll quite a way to get to those) so there must be something other than Vivaldi in general causing the issue.

Kat does recommend disabling AdBlocker .
Does it need to be done permanently, @kat@ebay ?

·4 days agoSorry, should have said - on a PC using Vivaldi.

·4 days agoIt does sometimes matter which device or browser you're using.
Clear cache and cookies, then on a PC switch to Chrome see if that helps.

·4 days agoThanks - clearing the cache and using Vivaldi - no change. OK in Chrome. Are you able to pass this Vivaldi problem on? I prefer to not use Chrome.
tressygirl
·4 days agoAnnoying for you, I do agree.
I don't think passing it will help, but will try.
The site is built around Chrome, so it is the most compatible.

·4 days agoVivaldi is not one of eBay’s recommended browsers. They are highly unlikley to look into fixing issues for minor browsers.
EBay provide a list of recommended browsers which is basically Firefox , Chrome, Safari and Edge (at least on PC)
