Hello everyone, I wanted to ask other eBay UK sellers about the way Promoted Listings / sponsored ad fees are now being reported. Previously, when I received an order, the sponsored fee would usually appear quite quickly, often within around 10 minutes. This made it easier to calculate the real profit, expenses, and net margin for each order. Recently, I have noticed that the sponsored fee can take hours to appear after the order is received. This creates a serious issue for profit calculation, especially for sellers like us who need to check each order carefully and calculate expenses accurately. I also understand that eBay’s attribution policy may now charge the sponsored fee even when one buyer views or clicks the promoted listing, but another buyer later purchases the same item within the attribution window. Because of this, it is not always clear immediately whether the order will have an ad fee or not. I would like to ask other sellers: How long does it usually take for the Promoted Listings / sponsored fee to appear on your sold orders? Is there any official time frame from eBay for when these fees are added? How do you manage your profit calculation when the ad fee is delayed for several hours? Do you wait before processing/accounting for the order, or do you calculate profit later after all fees are updated? Has anyone found a reliable way to track these fees more accurately? This delay is making it difficult to manage expenses and understand the real profit on each sale, especially when margins are tight. I would really appreciate advice from experienced sellers or anyone who has dealt with the same issue. Thank you.
