Payouts on Hold, but Account Can Still List and Sell — No Restriction Type Given
Summary: klyra-uk shared their experience of eBay placing a hold on their payouts due to unusual selling activity, although they can still list and sell items. They have not received a specific notice or instructions on which documents to provide and have been waiting four days for a response after contacting eBay. They are seeking advice from others who may have faced a similar situation.
Hi everyone,
eBay recently emailed us saying they noticed unusual selling activity and placed our payouts on hold while reviewing the account.
We are still able to create listings, revise listings, receive orders, and process sales normally. Only the payouts are on hold.
eBay has not stated what type of restriction or review this is, and we have not received any MC011 or other restriction notice.
The email says they need information from us, but it does not explain which documents are required and there is no upload link. We replied immediately and followed up again, but it has now been four days without a response.
We have sufficient stock and can provide authentic supplier invoices, stock evidence, settlement bank statements, and any other required documents. Our identity verification has already been completed.
We purchase shipping labels through eBay Packlink using InPost, and valid tracking is automatically uploaded to every order.
Has anyone experienced a payout-only hold like this while still being allowed to list and sell? How long did the review take, and how did you submit the requested information?

·3 weeks agoAs per their message eBay are performing some sort of manual review of your account that "may take up to 5 business days". eBay don't typically tell you why they are doing this.
The one possible flag I can see is the nationality of the director/PSC as recorded by Companies House whose identity was verified on 4th March. I suspect eBay are checking whether you are a non-established taxable person - they might not even make the right decision.
