Customers being charged VAT incorrectly
We are a small Isle of Man company selling collectable coins, have been selling for many years. Recently Ebay have started to charge VAT on our sales as they incorrectly put the Isle of Man outside the UK VAT system that we are a part of.
The Isle of Man and the UK operate under a shared customs and excise area governed by the 1979 Customs and Excise Agreement. For VAT purposes, they are treated as a single territory, meaning trade between them is treated as domestic, and VAT is pooled and distributed via a revenue-sharing formula.
Customer support admit they are aware of the issue and constantly tell us to email git.gcxeu@ebay.com, which we have done (when they send the correct email address that is) We hear nothing back and our customers are still charged 20% incorrectly.
Is there any way of speaking to anyone regarding this as we are totally unable to get any level of support from "customer support"
