Customer Product Stolen from Door
Summary: etrader70 is seeking advice on how to handle an "Item Not Received" claim from a customer, despite having delivery confirmation and a photo showing the parcel was delivered to the customer's door. They are concerned about eBay's potential action and are looking for guidance on how to challenge the request using the available evidence.
Hi,
I need your assistance regarding an "Item Not Received" case opened by one of my customers.
The order was successfully delivered to the customer's address. According to the delivery confirmation, the parcel was left at the customer's door. Unfortunately, the customer did not collect the parcel, and it appears to have been stolen overnight.
The customer has now opened an "Item Not Received" request on eBay, and I understand that eBay may take action by tomorrow.
I have already uploaded the tracking number to the case. In addition, I have the full tracking details and the delivery photo showing the parcel at the customer's door.
Could you please let me know if there is any way to challenge or decline the customer's request based on the delivery evidence? I would appreciate your advice on the best way to proceed.

However - generally speaking what tends to be seen is if there is evidence of tracked delivery - ebay tend to believe that.
