Cancellation request after waiting 3 days
Summary: kaigalles is seeking advice from the eBay community regarding a situation where a buyer requested to cancel an order after not paying for three days. Despite reminders, both from them and eBay, the buyer waited until the last moment to ask for cancellation, citing timing issues. kaigalles is frustrated and unsure whether to approve the cancellation or decline it, feeling the buyer isn't trustworthy.
Hi wonderful eBay community. I've been waiting 3 days for payment from a buyer. I sent them a polite reminder 24 hours after the end of the auction. They would also have had a reminder from eBay. They didn't respond to my message, so I was patiently waiting for the four day window to end, where eBay will put an unpaid strike against their account and the item will be automatically relisted. The 'buyer' has now requested to cancel the order, with the reason the item wouldn't arrive in time - they waited 3 days to do this.
What are my options? eBay is giving me 2 options, approve and relist, or decline. They've completely messed me around and clearly aren't a trusted buyer.

·3 weeks agoIf you decline it might cause complications. Maybe they were hanging on, waiting to see if they'd have time to receive it. You never know. I would accept and put them on my blocked bidder list.
