Royal mail
Summary: t79ww-87 reported that a buyer received a different item than what was originally dispatched. They used Royal Mail Simple Delivery and tracking confirms the parcel was delivered, but the buyer sent photos proving a mismatch in contents. t79ww-87 suspects an issue occurred during transit and requests an investigation, providing photographic evidence to support their claim.
The buyer received a completely different item from the item I dispatched. I sent the tool shown in the listing using the prepaid eBay Simple Delivery Royal Mail label. I placed the parcel into a Royal Mail Parcel Locker on 9 September. Royal Mail tracking shows the parcel being accepted into their network and delivered to the buyer. The buyer has now provided photographs showing the same tracking number, VU56810904GB, attached to a completely different package containing a piece of clothing. The packaging shown in the buyer’s photographs is not the packaging I used when I dispatched the tool. I believe the parcel or its contents may have been incorrectly handled or replaced during transit. I have photographic evidence of the label and can provide all evidence available. Please investigate this as a Simple Delivery transit issue rather than treating this as an incorrect item dispatched by the seller.

Hi @t79ww-87 ,
Thank you for your post.
We are unable to work cases here as these are discussion boards. The buyer will need to open up a case for the wrong item and once it can't be resolved within the timeframe you can request eBay to step in and help through the case.
Thank you,
Kat
