"Ready to resell?" - Is unfit for purpose
Summary: limestonecowboy1 expressed frustration with the "ready to resell?" feature, noting that it often suggests items already sold, particularly when they are listed under different descriptions. They highlighted issues such as cleaned camera lenses, bundled items, and corrected spelling affecting the feature's accuracy. They urged the platform to either remove or allow users to disable this feature.
I've seen a few posts about how annoying the "ready to resell?" feature is, and I wholeheartedly agree.
It frequently brings up items that I have already sold. The main problem seems to be that the AI bots running it can't identify when an item has been sold using a different description.
A few examples
Camera lens bought as "spares / repairs" due to fungus which has been sold after cleaning and testing.
Items bought individually and then sold as a bundle.
Items bought with spelling mistake in the title and then sold with correct spelling.
Unless the AI can cope with the above then it's a waste of screen space.
eBay - Please either remove this "feature" or at least allow users to disable it.
