Postage costs
I’ve sold an item and had used eBay set p&p that was assigned to my item. Buyer has paid that amount of around £12 but eBay now telling me based on what they thinks it’s over £20. This is without making changes. Does this happen a lot? Do we need to up the p&p costs so we don’t end up paying twice the amount?

·1 week ago · EditedThe higher cost is because you need to send that cutlery set with age verification and presumably you underestimated the weight the parcel would be when creating the listing.
If you aren’t selling similar items in future and can stick to eBay simple delivery like you have on your other listings, this should be a one off thing you don’t need to worry about again.
I would look on the bright side, had you charged £20 postage to the buyer it might not have received a bid. Looking at it, the incorrect postage probably helped it sell.
