Why am I not being paid for my saleseBay?
I’ve just started selling on eBay as an individual seller and I don’t understand how eBay pays out. I’ve had items delivered, no complaints and the pay bit says funds available 11th August. I’ve had no funds since 11 August and there’s 307 sitting there which eBay won’t release? Come someone please explain? Is it because I did promoted listing?

Hi @qurvyqueen , thanks for your post.
I've just checked for you, and there is no transaction indicating that the funds would be released for the 11th of August but is still being held, most of them say they will be released from the 20th of August. I took a further look to make sure everything was ok, and it looks like your funds are being held correctly as per our payments on hold policy since it doesn't qualify for faster payouts.

·Aug 18, 2026 at 7:00 AMIf you've already withdrawn cash to your bank account I'd have a look in your messages/ email for 'requests' from ebay for further verification of any of the following. Bank account details. Personal details, ebay may want photos of your drivers licence/passport / recent utility bills. Your NI number.
Ebay has a habit off signing sellers up and telling them they're "Good to Go" and then springing these requests on them once they've got some sales cash to use as leverage to ensure you comply and hand over your details.
Ebay now makes some of its revenue from interest on Held Funds so it likes to keep plenty in the bank to earn from.

·Aug 17, 2026 at 1:04 PMIt's because you are a new seller, and initial payouts will be held for longer until eBay are happy the items have been delivered, and the buyers are not going to open any case for item not received / not as described, this may involve refunding.
This was eBay's announcement last year as to how payouts will be made, when you are an established seller:
From 6 August 2025, we’re also making it easier and faster for our more experienced sellers to receive their funds. This means you can get your funds within 24 hours of the buyer paying. To qualify for faster payment, all you’ll need to do is:
Complete at least 10 sales with a total of £150 or more within the last 5 years
Maintain 2 or fewer cases in the last 12 months

You have to withdraw the funds yourself to a verified bank account.

·Aug 18, 2026 at 6:37 AMCheck with link below, that you have fully and correctly registered for eBay's Managed Payments so you can receive funds, and that your bank account has been verified usually with eBay sending you 2 micro deposits for you to confirm back to eBay. Was this done ?
