Where can I download a report showing how much VAT I collected?!
Summary: math_pric is seeking advice on how to download a VAT report from eBay that provides figures rather than just showing '20%'. 4_bathrooms responded by suggesting that they calculate the VAT manually using spreadsheet software, by subtracting the net amount from the VAT-inclusive amount, and reminded them to include VAT on shipping if charged separately. They also noted that international orders could affect VAT calculations, but if all sales are domestic, there's no need to worry.
Hi all,
Recently became VAT registered so this is pretty new to me.
From the day I became VAT registered I updated my eBay settings to show that my listings include VAT at 20%
I'm now at the stage I need to do a VAT return and was hoping there'd be a simple option to download a report which showed how much VAT I collected per order. I cannot seem to find such a thing though.
I've found the option to download all my orders and yes, it shows what they sold for.. but in the VAT column it just shows '20%'
Surely I can download some report that actually gives figures?

·3 weeks agoThat's all you need. In your spreadsheet application (Excel/Calc) just add another two columns. In one you will calculate the net figure and in the other you can calculate the VAT levied by deducting the net figure from the VAT inclusive figure. You haven't mentioned if any of your orders were international - which would bring the VAT rate column into play - but if all your eBay sales are/were domestic you don't need to worry about this.
Also don't forget that any postage/shipping you charged separately was also subject to VAT - this isn't an issue if all the items sold with "free" delivery.
