I recently sold a low-value item using eBay Standard Tracked Delivery via Evri.After purchasing the item, the buyer contacted me and asked if I could send it by Royal Mail instead because of previous bad experiences with courier deliveries. This seemed like a reasonable request and I initially tried to accommodate it.However, I discovered several problems:The buyer had already paid for the Evri service selected at checkout.Royal Mail postage would cost more.eBay provides no obvious mechanism for collecting an additional postage payment from the buyer after the sale.However I decided to pay the difference myself - I like a happy buyer. However the order page displayed only the buyer's name, town and postcode, together with a message stating that the full address would appear on the postage label.Because I did not want to purchase the eBay Evri label, I could not find any way to obtain the buyer's full delivery address.The result was that what appeared to be a simple and reasonable buyer request became surprisingly difficult to deal with.Has anyone found a straightforward way of handling this situation?
