·1 week agoI've set my policy to "Require immediate payment", but I don't know if this Wait to Ship thing would override that.

item sold this morning will, because of this wait, miss the collection slot.
Email saying item sold but in ebay account, the item had vanished, Not in all orders, not in sold, and not in waiting to despatch. It only reappeard in account to print label after timed window closed. I use pc, windows 10 and firefox.
Its a Bank holiday and sending tomorrow will undoubtably mean buyer will not get this now till Tuesday on.
The feature serves no purpose and as proved, will delay delivery.

·1 week ago · EditedYou don't have to wait if you don't wish to. You can still go ahead and print the label from 'All orders' or 'Orders - wait to post'.

·1 week agoI guess we have different systems. The advert completely dissappears from my account, not in all orders, not in sold, not in awaiting despatch and not in awaiting payment. It only re-appears after the allocated waiting time.

Just go to Manage all order - then in status - All orders & get pre paid label.

·1 week agoI assumed this feature was introduced to try to fix some of the issues with combined postage caused by Simple Delivery - ie no longer being able to simply adjust/refund postage after the buyer has paid for an item, if they decide to buy another item.
I don't know if it's proving to be more of a hindrance than a help, but it appears to have caused quite a bit of confusion, going by the recent discussions about it on the forum.

·1 week agoThe confusion is purely down to lack of communication and poor presentation. All it needs is a little info icon next to the wait to ship line that if clicked on explains what is going on

·1 week agoIt's a really useful feature enabling sellers to combining postage. You don't have to wait and use it, it's just a recommendation that you hold back from posting straight away if there's a possibility that the buyer may be bidding on more of your items.
You can safely ignore it and post the item out now if they're not.
Automatic Postage Combination: If an initial purchase is made and the buyer completes the payment, the 3-hour wait feature pauses checkout for subsequent purchases. Any additional items bought from your store within this timeframe will automatically group together in the shopping basket for combined postage.
No Waiting to Ship for Sellers: You are not required to hold off on dispatching an order while waiting for this 3-hour window to pass. If a transaction has been paid for and finalised, you can proceed to print shipping labels.

But it’s optional for the seller. You don’t have to wait.
