Having trouble listing a product where I have 6 colours of the same item, within that I wish to offer quantities for each colour to enable combined postage.
Am sure I managed this before with another product but things seem to have changed ?
My theory was to call each colour a variation and quantity would be an attribute - 1No 2No and so on. I understand there is a limit of 5 variations per listing ?
I have tried all I know and never get the result required, no drop downs to select quantity on the listing preview being one issue
l I have looked at EBay help but no good, can anyone talk me through this or point to a help article that does so ?

OP3 weeks agoLooked a bit further on combined postage and it seems 'simple' delivery adjusts for multiple purchases ? Will set a listing up and see what results I get.

OP3 weeks agoThanks, my mistake on the postage I usually list post included. The product is coloured ribbon/tape from bankrupt stock 7 colours but bulky so post starts as a small parcel.
My intent was a listing where buyers could choose say 2 x red and 3 x blue but pay postage at one rate for total order.
The option to request total from seller at checkout is no longer as far as I know ?

OP3 weeks agoThanks both, I guess I will either leave as a listing covering all variations and buyers will have to message me with what they want, better than individual listings and refunds for excess postage.

·3 weeks agoAgain, some more info would be useful about the kind of item you want to list. On a private account the buyer pays for the postage label, so any refund you make would be out of your own pocket.
If you provide some more info we can help work out best way to set your listing up correctly.

The attribute would be the colour, and the quantity would be the stock quantity (thats not an attribute). Are you using desktop? You can't set this up with the app.
What is the item, and are you trying to list it on this account? I see that this account hasn't been used for selling, so you may hit selling limits.
As an example, if I want to set up a variation listing t-shirts available in different sizes and colours, the size and the colour are the attributes, there's a quantity field for sellers to put in the amount they have available for each colour/size. In the screen below I've already selected size and colour as attributes:

·3 weeks ago · EditedI’m no expert but my experience (when trying to sell several issues of a magazine) has been that the drop down tool for variations within a listing is no longer available to private sellers. It came in at the same time as Simple Delivery.
