Unjustified Negative Feedback
Summary: upt_hearse69 sought advice on handling unjustified negative feedback on eBay after selling a gig ticket with a tear, which was disclosed in the description. papso22 suggested reviewing feedback rules and contacting customer service to have it removed. sml192 advised referencing the specific feedback policy that applies to disclosed issues. Later, upt_hearse69 updated that the buyer retracted the negative feedback and replaced it with positive feedback.
UPDATE!!! The Buyer has now retracted the Negative Feedback and left Positive Feedback!!!
Good afternoon, eBay Community.
I am after some advice re unjustified Negative Feedback.
I recently sold an old gig ticket from the 1980s. This ticket had a 1.5” tear from the bottom up possibly done at the time by the door staff. I mentioned the tear in the item description.
The buyer has just left me a Negative Feedback rating because and I quote “there was a tare almost half way threw the ticket (not mentioned in the description)”.
I work very hard to be a decent Seller and have received this!
May I have your advice at removing this Negative Feedback? Thank you.

·3 weeks agoThe only advice is to check the feedback rules, identify the one the feedback breaks and then try and persuade ebay customer service to remove it while pointing out the specific rule to them.

·3 weeks agoThis is the rule in the Feedback Policy that you need to reference, as the tear was clearly mentioned in the description although not particularly clear in the photos:
The buyer is raising an issue that was correctly disclosed in the listing
In future it would be best to reference any damage/defect in the title as well as the description, since some people don't bother to read the description, and to provide clear photos of the damage/defect.
