UNFAIR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
Summary: searigsuk is dealing with unfair negative feedback on eBay due to delivery delays caused by the postal carrier. jonatjonatjonat explains that eBay removes feedback if delivery issues were due to factors like carrier delays or natural events, provided tracking shows expectations were met. stormatic2015 advises caution in replying to feedback, pointing out feedback removal may not be possible once replied to. They also highlight the importance of uploading tracking information on dispatch to increase chances of feedback removal. Without tracking or if outside handling times, removing such negative feedback may be challenging.
Navigating unfair negative feedback on eBay, due to a postal carrier delay rather than poor service. In this instance, the buyer has left 2 negative feedbacks for items they have admitted received in the fist negative feedback they have left, he has clearly already acknowledged receipt of the item in another review, and because they failed to contact us to resolve the issue before resorting to negative ratings, do we have strong grounds to appeal???. Furthermore, do eBay's policies generally protect sellers from negative feedback caused by carrier delays? The customer did not pay for tracked service so we are unable to find the items and have not had the opportunity to send replacements', as he did not tell us the items were late or had not arrived the first contact we had was the negative feedback he has posted.

·3 weeks ago@searigsuk Just a suggestion... and I haven't looked at your listings fully, but state quite prominently in the listings that buyers should contact you about any problems and you will be happy to help. Then if they leave neutral or negatives contact them directly not via feedback posts. It seems incredible how many buyers don't use the MBG and resort to poor feedback. I only use poor feedback if the service is bad and not resolved. If any one leaves bad feed back, reiterate that you would have helped if the matter had been bought to your attention in the first place.

·3 weeks agoMorning. If its the negative about the bait spray which you have replied to, then there is no chance. Once you replied to a negative feedback it cant be removed. Always wait to do a reply or its your last resort.
One feedback that hasn't had a reply can be considered for feedback removal, but it would depend on the situation. Did you upload tracking on the day it was dispatched (not after) and does the tracking say that it was accepted at the post office or depot on the day it was dispatched?
I know you said he didn't pay for tracking, but the general rule is, If the answer is no to either, then its highly unlikely unless its still within your handling times.
Only way a negative can be removed for delivery is if you have tracking uploaded on the day of dispatch within your handling time and or the tracking shows delivered on or before the delivery date shown to the buyer, but that also has to be true for the uploading on dispatch day too.
Some reason even if the item arrives on or before estimates and you didn't upload tracking on the day of dispatch its not grounds for removal, unless you get lucky and speak to an Irish CS agent.

Item delivery issues
We remove neutral/negative feedback when the buyer is referencing:
A delivery issue where tracking shows us that the delivery or handling time expectations were met
A delivery issue where a natural disaster or unexpected event caused a carrier delay
A customs or tax issue outside the seller’s control that we could identify
