Unable to delete sold listings from my front page
Why can I no longer delete sold items from my ebay front page ???
Trying to contact a real person to sort out this matter is impossible !
Ebay standards have dropped alarmingly and there is NO WAY I would ever advise anyone to start an ebay account.

Hi @resc66 , thanks for your post.
This has been the case for a while now, and basically to back up what others have said above, this is just in case you need to action certain transaction in the future. Not just to help buyers, but to cover yourself as a seller as well. This is also geed for your own records, especially when you sell regularly.
Please note that contacting our customer service team wouldn't really change much as this is working as designed, but I'll flag that you are not happy with the fact that you can't do this. However, please note that this doesn't necessarily means that changes around this will be implemented.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 month agoCan they not be archived @marco@ebay ?
At least it takes it off the sold / orders page, this is what many sellers are asking for, and can be brought back if needed.

Good question, @tressygirl .
Yes, you can archive them if you wish, but that's as much as you could do. If you want to archive them, you can go to all orders from your seller hub, and then click on the dropdown menu for the transaction you're looking to archive, click archive.
I've attached a screenshot below for better visibility.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 month agoWhat do you mean by your 'eBay front page'? They should disappear from the 'Tasks' section of the 'Selling overview' page automatically once dispatched.

·1 month agoNever a good idea to delete sold items --- you may need to refer to those details in case of disputes, refund requests or Chargebacks etc. (within 30 to 120 days) at a later time .
Details are held on eBay servers, so shouldn't effect your device performance.
