Test notes ??
Summary: kirmcl_9456 asked for assistance with understanding some test notes they found online, as each appeared to have different prefixes or numbers. technthread suggested they might be progressive printings and referenced an archived auction with similar items estimated at $200-$400. technthread further recommended that kirmcl_9456 reach out to a reputable banknote dealer to confirm authenticity and get a valuation. kirmcl_9456 appreciated the help and considered using the provided information for further research.

·1 month agoI suspect they are progressive proof prints, they are always layered so it allows the banks and DLR to evaluate before going to print. I think DLR are the biggest bank note producer in the world.

·1 month ago · EditedThey do look like progressive printings. I found this archived auction lot which had 8 notes like yours but I can’t see what the bidding ended up at. I ran it through AI and it says the start was $140 and the estimate was $200-$400 but I can’t find where they are pulling that information from.

·1 month agoI would probably reach out to a reputable banknote dealer on them and see what comment they would have on these and how much they would offer. Partially to get some take on the authenticity etc.
