I have not sold on eBay for 3 weeks due to being unwell now I am feeling better I have tried to list a item which is a small parcel and I am being forced into simple delivery which I do not want to use I want custom postage which I have always used I do not have a printer and my phone will not scan QR codes ,anyone else having this problem.

·3 weeks agoone point is that although simple delivery is an option that you cannot remove, you can send through alternative means / pickup - if you have processed the label but not used it, you can apply for its refund using the help link specifically for this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller you will need to wait 10 days for the refund to be processed.
One thing to note is that any shopping that you do outside simple delivery doers not attract the same level of insurance that ebay offers by default (without additional costs)

·3 weeks agoHi, My friend as a similar problem, so takes his laptop / tablet into the post office & they scan details from screen & print label out.

·3 weeks agoThe cost to your buyer for a small parcel with simple delivery is generally less than buying the same service yourself. You can get Royal Mail to collect the parcel from you and bring the label for it so no printer needed.

·3 weeks agoDoes the bring the label part work with simple delivery? I don’t know but I see posts on this forum all the time where people say it isn’t happening so they can’t hand the parcel over.

·3 weeks ago · EditedIf you had Evri switched on I think you also get a numerical code alongside the QR code that you can type in to print labels in store. It might make sense to just have them enabled as a courier in this situation.
I’m not certain about codes with InPost as it depends if you have to use lockers or shops.
Maybe someone can advise about Royal Mail as I’m not sure about them either.

·3 weeks agoInPost Lockers definitely allow a manual entering. Unsure about shops as only use the locker (and to be fair - only really use QR codes)

·3 weeks agoI will ask a shop next time I go whether they could type a code in instead of scanning the QR code. Unless anyone else has tried this already and knows the answer?

·3 weeks agoCustom delivery is now only available on either bulky items or if the item is under £20, under 100g, works out to be large letter and is only available in select categories. That being said, there has been a glitch recently where custom delivery wasn't available at all.
One point though - your phone doesn't need to scan a QR code. The QR code is scanned by the Evri locker, Royal Mail post office etc and they print the label. Though you would need a device capable of displaying the QR code.
