Sending light, large letters - how to avoid Simple Delivery minimum charge as others do?
Hi All,
I have some small, light craft items I'd like to sell. Mostly sewing treads. I've seen other private sellers listing postage as £1.50, or so, some even offer free delivery on items selling for under £3. I can't get anything below £2.72 for Royal Mail Large Letter - the only option is "Up to 1kg". my threads weigh around 10 - 15 grms.
Any insights into how others are doing this, please? They're listed in the correct categories.
Thank you

OP2 weeks agoMany thanks for the replies. I'll do some experimenting with the categories, as recommended. I also have yarn to sell from my ridiculously enormous stash, but I could list that in larger amounts.
Appreciate your help.

Crafts>Sewing>Sewing Thread - has custom delivery
You must put in a price below £20 and select large letter under simple delivery. you will then get the custom delivery box to click on.

I only found out when listing postcards we inherited on my private account when I grandly decided one might be worth more than £20 as a Buy It Now.
(Couldn't be bothered with hassle, so just listed for £19.99.)
