i listed a vintage screwdriver only to be pulled as ,, its a bladed item .. its not its a screwdriver so appealed and lost as they say it is , and needs age verification and can you find the postage option no its all SD , so try customer services but first i asked the AI ,,is a screwdriver a bladed item and is it the answer A screwdriver is not considered a bladed item under eBay's knives and bladed items policy.
The policy lists specific types of bladed products that are prohibited, such as knives, axes, swords, and other sharp-edged weapons, but it also allows certain tools and items that may have blades or sharp parts, like axes, chisels, and saws, as long as they comply with age verification and delivery guidelines.
Since a screwdriver does not have a blade or sharp cutting edge, it is not classified as a bladed product and is not subject to the restrictions that apply to knives and other bladed items.

·3 weeks agoI don't know if it's any help but I've had several lots removed as 'Bladed items' including 2 salad serving spoons. On research, it appears that private sellers can't use age verification postage services although they are shown on the drop down menu for postage and eBay CS are as much use as a concrete parachute so just move on and sell them elsewhere. Won't be able to list pencils soon in case it can be used to poke someone in the eye!

·3 weeks agoAnd even if you can use age verification on your listings, alot of buyers wont be able to buy it because they don't have a credit card to verify.

·3 weeks agoI dont know what to advise, just to say the whole bladed items / age verification thing is a total mess.
Ai is being used to identify anything bladed and it sees screwdrivers as being sharp and pointy so immediately 'red flags' it.
The trouble is that Ai again, might be used to deal with the appeal so it rejects it again !
You need to speak to a human at Ebay which is very difficult.
Try going into the chat box and keep repeatedly typing 'I want telephone help'... or ...'speak to an advisor'. The bot will often get tired and then offer a telephone callback
