Postage for small items weighing less than 250g.

I have just tried to list a lot of DVD's on eBay which now they will not let without using simple delivery.
I have never had a problem before and it costs only £1.90 which buyers do not mind paying.
Now they want me to use simple delivery which costs a lot more which people will not pay.
Each DVD weighs less then 250g. Has anybody got any ideas of what I can do.
I have sold masses before so cannot see what the problem is.

·1 month agoI am used to selling low value items that weight less than 100gms which i send at letter rate or large letter rate depending on quantity. I now can't list the items in the correct category as it now has to be simple delivery at £2.72 which is far too much for a low value item. The only way round it is to list in another inappropriate category that still allows customised postage which has severely affected my sales. Ebay seams to be going out of their way to discourage people to sell items.

I listed something for my dad who has much Railwayana and had a similar problem, but I listed under another similar category and it was fine. I'm not sure categories are the problem with sales, I think sales are just low right now across the board.

·1 month agoI just tried to list a dvd and I get custom delivery. Make sure you put in a price and change SD postage to large letter. Custom postage should appear. If not post a screen shot.

·1 month agoHi mate just go to one you already have on ebay with custom postage, and list similar ,forget about the postage amount,go down select the amount handling days you will only get 3 at most and save,it should go live with the same postage as the other one

·1 month agoExactly the same with selling stamps,cant use custom postage. Also orders seem to have dried up completely since midnight when this glitch started.

·1 month agoSame here. I listed 17 CD's a couple of days ago and have another 70 to do. I always use Royal Mail but Ebay will now only let me use simple delivery. Even if I use one of my listed CD's and try to 'sell similar' it will not let me. It may be a glitch but if this is the only option now available I will pull out of Ebay completely. Nearly 10,000 feedback over 20 years but the site has gone downhill so much and made life so difficult for sellers that I have had enough.
