Listing blocked for weeks due to link to hardware specs, support didn't help
Summary: mycognitive expressed frustration about recent policy changes that have led to their listings being blocked due to links to hardware specs in the descriptions. They've faced issues with support, including broken chat services and unclear emails, with no resolution after two weeks. suelel1968 suggested including information with the physical package instead, but mycognitive explained their inability to modify or appeal the blocked listings. jonatjonatjonat inquired if they're dealing with external URL issues or trying to resolve errors, to which mycognitive clarified the inability to resolve or contact support effectively.
I've been selling for many years and in the past I've been pasting links to hardware in the item description, because I think it's a common sense to do.
But due to recent changes in policies, it seems it's not possible.
If the links are not allowed, I don't understand why it's allowed to post the item in the first place, and get charged, then your listing is blocked for many weeks without resolution.
I've tried to contact support via chat, they said nowadays any link is Policy violation, so it doesn't matter if I link to Intel or AMD or nVidia.
And they told me they're going to sort out this in 72h hours, it's already a week and nothing changed.
Then I've received some empty e-mail like:
"The listing you reported has not been removed"
"Your reference ID:"
With empty reference ID, which doesn't make sense and I don't understand what this e-mail is about.
I've posted 2 items 2 weeks ago, and I'm still being blocked, none of the options work and contacting eBay is impossible.
Is it normal to take over 2 weeks to review the links to the official hardware specs?
When I go to Resolve, 3 of the options are grayed out (Start appeal, Ending listing and Revise listing), so I cannot do anything.
See:

Then got the e-mail that my bank account was charged for something that I didn't even listed.
I've already wasted so much time only because I wanted to describe my hardware in more details.
I've tried to contact support, but the chat is broken.
It seems nowadays it's almost impossible to sell anything.
Any suggestion how to move forward with my listings?

·1 week agoI’m unsure if you are still trying to list with external URLs or not.
Or are you trying to clear some errors?

OP1 week ago · EditedIt's not possible to clear or edit my listing after I've clicked Resolved (after I've previously submitted appeal). I would imagine I'm awaiting for some human intervention to revise my listing, but it's been already 2 weeks and nothing has happened and it's not possible to contact eBay.
These are my current options with no ability to choose anything, they're disabled:

·1 week ago@mycognitive getting this changed will be almost impossible I would imagine. Work out another way. You could supply the information on an invoice posted with the item, or just a note in the package.

OP1 week ago · EditedCurrently I can't work another way, I can't contact eBay as chat is broken, I can't edit blocked listing, because everything is grayed out, I receive broken e-mails which I don't get it, nothing basically work to move it forward. Last week chat was working, they told me my listing are going to be fixed in 72h, another week passed, and nothing changed. I can't sell anything.
