Late delivery strike but sent on time, twice!
Summary: thewoodelves shared their frustration with eBay after receiving a late dispatch mark despite providing original tracking details that showed timely dispatch. The issue arose when the original shipment was lost by a courier, leading thewoodelves to send a replacement with a new tracking number, which eBay used as the basis for the late dispatch claim. An appeal was denied, and a conversation with a support agent resulted in no resolution. A second similar incident occurred, prompting thewoodelves to seek advice on how to proceed.
So, i posted an order on time and uploaded tracking. This was subsequently lost by Evri and so i sent a replacement using RM. Ebay have used the replacement tracking to mark me down for late delivery despite the original details being shown on the order. I have appealed which was refused. I then spoke to an agent who said it was sent late and quoted the replacement order date. After repeating that the information that is shown on the order clearly shows it was originally dispatched on time, the agent told me to have a nice day and left the chat! I have now had a second 'late delivery' applied under the same circumstances today but have yet to appeal. Should i do anything differently? So much for the 'dispatch on time and upload a valid tracking number' ebay guarantee for sellers.

·2 weeks agoOption 1 - safest thing I'd say is stop sending replacements and just refund and ask them to buy again.
Option 2 - if you do send replacements - don't upload the replacement tracking number to the order (which is I assume what you are doing?) though obviously this does then leave you liable to the customer opening an item not received claim - at this point - see option 1
