Item lost in post
Summary: blindsparesuk is experiencing issues with lost parcels shipped through Evri via eBay. They are caught between eBay and Evri, with each pointing them to the other for resolving the issue. 4_bathrooms and sml192 advised contacting Packlink, the third-party broker for the courier service, to address the claims.
I regularly purchase postage labels through eBay to ship items via Evri. Recently, two of my parcels were lost in transit. Upon contacting eBay, I was advised to raise the matter directly with Evri, as they are the courier responsible for delivery. However, when I approached Evri, they informed me that since the labels were purchased through eBay, any claim must be submitted to eBay, who would then liaise with Evri on my behalf if necessary.
As a result, I find myself caught between two companies, each directing me to the other with no resolution in sight. To compound the matter, eBay has refunded the buyers in full and charged me the associated seller fees — meaning I have lost both the items and am now out of pocket for those fees as well.
I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to navigate this situation and establish which party holds liability for the lost parcels.
