Is click and collect suddenly compulsory?
Ok i am confused. I have just listed an item and have all my settings set to Royal Mail only for postage. Click and collect is also included when listing with only Royal Mail. I do not want that option on my listings. I cannot see any way to turn that off now....is it suddenly compulsory?
Royal Mail
No printer required • Collection or drop-off • Click & Collect for buyers

·3 weeks agoI am having the same problem. I have no intention of offering this inpost thing, so I will have to see if I can turn it off. The annoying thing is that I think the buyer has selected this inpost option, But Ebay did not tell me, so I presented it to the post office.

·3 weeks agoYou can opt out of Inpost here. Inpost items can be dropped off at any Yodel parcel shop as well as Inpost lockers.

·3 weeks agoYep - has been for a while now as Royal Mail offer Click and Collect options from collection points.
Aside from a minor risk that the customer doesn't collect and it ends up getting returned - I don't really see the issue - in your view - its just an address.

OP3 weeks agoI just think click and collect often complicates things. For example buyers not receiving a code or not collecting etc etc . Also we have seen on the boards shops rejecting items because they no longer offer the service. I know i just send wherever told :)

·3 weeks agoClick & Collect is now available with Royal Mail aswell when using Simple Delivery and can't be disabled. However, it really makes no difference to you as you just need to send it in the normal way, so not sure why you don't wish to offer it.

·3 weeks ago · EditedYou can opt in or out of Click & Collect from your Site Preferences:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf
I believe that you'll need to use desktop to access that section, not the app.
EDIT TO ADD: Nope, you're stuck with it for Simple Delivery postage.

·3 weeks agoIs that not Click and Collect for Custom Delivery orders? Simple Delivery is separate isn't it?

·3 weeks agoYou're absolutely right. I've just looked at my private account listings with this ID and can see it enabled on Simple Delivery postage listings, but It's turned off in my site preferences! Well, that's annoying. I like a name and address for any buyer purchasing an expensive item.

·3 weeks agoClick and Collect should only apply apparently to listings below £100 if that helps.
Though I see the point.
