Have you been moved over to Ebay International Shipping from GSP yet?
Summary: robscdsanddvds initiated a discussion about transitioning from eBay's Global Shipping Program (GSP) to eBay International Shipping, noting the benefits of wider reach and potentially lower costs. cobwebcottage shared they have been using GSP for years, while the_book_seekers mentioned never using it. dantwocats pointed out the high costs associated with GSP for small items and hoped for cheaper international shipping options. Concerns were raised by blondiebird2003 regarding unresolved buyer claims and payment holds. littlethingsuneed speculated that the change might lead to increased competition with suppliers, especially from China, whereas robscdsanddvds noted this might not affect sellers of rarer items. Another participant inquired about the timeline for the transition.
Just doing a straw poll as I'm waiting to be moved over from GSP to Ebay International Shipping. I only started GSP about a month ago on hearing how Ebay International Shipping will ship to 195 countries and offer cheaper shipping for buyers as well as full cover once the item arrives at the Lichfield depot. Have you been moved over yet and how long were you/have you been on GSP? Thanks.

·2 weeks agoHas the transfer from GSP to EIS for UK Private Sellers been rolled out yet. If not does anyone have any idea when/if it might happen?
Many thanks

OP2 weeks agoThat's what I was asking. It started in August but I haven't been transferred yet but one of the first replies on here said they had been transferred.

OPSep 16, 2026 at 3:27 PMI sell rarer items anyway so not really in competition but I can see if you sell wholesale items there may be an effect although you can still ship the items yoirself.

OPSep 15, 2026 at 10:45 AMNot good, I've only been on GSP for a month and about 5 items have gone out. Once on the new system there is no comeback once the item has arrived at the eBay UK Hub so waiting for that soon hopefully. How long have you been using GSP? Thanks.

·1 month agoNo still GSP, But tried to sent a £6 CD to Italy and Royal mail would have added £3.51 for import tax and handling fees .which i would have to pay on top of postage ? but no charges to Portugal ? .for small items GSP is far to costly. & does not combine items for posting so puts off buyers ,USA is all GSP so i have not bought anything from the states for years (i remember surface post when you could buy a big box of stuff ,it would take 6-8 weeks but very cheap (the good old days) so hope this new shipping is cheaper as they say, but it is ebay!

·1 month ago · EditedGSP and eIS deals with all customs charges. You are only responsible for sending the item to the UK hub.
Unlike GSP, eIS will allow both the UK and international postage to be combined.
Items sent from the US are via eIS not GSP. Sellers can still offer their own shipping method, either in addition to or instead of eIS.

OP1 month agoYes, I carried on for ages sending via Royal Mail but with tarriffs etc plus the new Royal Mail Tax you mention I have decided to go onto GSP as someone was on about the newer version being a bit cheaper for buyers plus it should ship to 195 countries instead of 105 which could be good. The best bit is you only have to send it to the depot at Lichfield and then the transaction is out of your hands re any loss, damage, feedback etc.
