Have any private sellers received an email from eBay regarding the EU and PPWR?
Someone on another topic said that this only applies to business sellers.

·2 weeks agoAs already noted, the eBay PPWR help page clearly states that it is 'certain business sellers' that will need to comply.
The best source of information though is, of course, the Regulation itself which, in Article 3.1(9), contains the following definition:
' 'making available on the market’ means any supply of packaging, whether empty or with a product, for distribution, consumption or use on the Union market in the course of a commercial activity, whether in return for payment or free of charge; '
A private sale (consumer to consumer) would not be classed as a 'commercial activity'.

·2 weeks agoAt the moment is seems to, eBay states “Certain business sellers offering packaged products to buyers in the EU will need to comply with PPWR rules.”
If you're a private seller listing your own personal possessions to EU buyers then eBay's wording doesn't say that you need to register, so I'm going with no.
