Ebay's advertising is about as innovated as a Sahara Desert Hot Water Bottle.
Summary: harry_armfield expressed frustration with eBay's advertising algorithm, noting that after selling a Pink Floyd LP, they received numerous ads for the same record. They also criticized eBay Live, describing it as ineffective and poorly executed. eastern_standard_time suggested using an adblocker, like Ublock Origin, to prevent such ads from appearing.
A couple of things:
I just sold a Pink Floyd LP, and what do eBay do, they send me 25 Ads for the same record. It's like selling a Mini Cooper and receiving 25 Ads for Mini Coopers. The algorithm would work if I was buying, but not the other way round. EBay think if they throw enough spaghetti at the wall, some of it may stick.
Please, please, please, advise me how to get rid of Ebay Live. I don't need it, the ads are rubbish, and the teenagers selling on them can hardly speak English. It is literally the worst innovation since the Sahara Desert Hot Water Bottle.

·3 weeks agoI don't see any of what you describe, so it's probably not getting past Ublock Origin. You are using an adblocker, aren't you?
