Contacted twice to set up "private auctions"? | Seller Central | eBay UK

Contacted twice to set up "private auctions"?

Hi, in the past two weeks I have been contacted by two different buyers requesting me to setup "private auctions" for several items that I am selling. I have politely refused, but I am wondering what is the reasoning behind their requests? I don't offer BIN, so am I right in thinking they are trying to BIN via "private auctions"?

I don't think so - one has asked for "separate listings" for them and the other has specifically asked for a "private auction".

No listings on ebay are private.
