Chat No Longer Working??
I have recently had to talk to eBay on 2 occasions but was not offered an option to chat. Is this now the normal procedure because with chat, you received a transcript but with a call, you receive nothing!!

·5 months agoI noticed the same, they dont want you to have a transcript to refer back to, a phone call is deniable!

Hi , thanks for your post.
Please note that depending on the volume we may be handling, the chat and the call option might or might not be available. As in, if we have too many chats in queue, it is possible that you will only get the call option, and vice versa.
Please note that this is not a technical issue or anything like that, and it can vary from time to time. Sometimes you will have both options available, and some other times you will have one or the other.

I did not know it was disappeared.

·5 months agoDon't like the sound of that! Not had to use Chat for a while - maybe >3 months so I wouldn't have noticed.
Also liked that with Chat there was a record of the problem and how to resolve it which of course you don't get with verbal - unless you can record it on your phone. Now I am saying that but I don't know how to do it myself!

·5 months agoSeems to be that way at the moment. I liked the chat transcripts because when you were promised a refund or some kind of action you at least had something in writing.
