CHANGING MY BANK DETAILS
I am trying to change my bank details. I am being prevented from doing so, because I am allegedly "registered on a US site"
What must I do to receive what is owed to me? I am also being accused of being a bot. I have been registered with ebay for 30 years. I should appreciate your help. John Bruce

·6 days ago · EditedYou will need a different user id/password and email address. The user id can be anything you wish, it doesn't have to be your name.

Hi @johnbruce , thanks for your post.
I was checking for you there, and it looks like your account was indeed registered in the US. This will prevent you from updating your payment details, unless your payment details are from the US. I'm afraid that account regions cannot be updated/changed, so you'd need to transfer your funds to the current bank account you have on file, and then register a new account under the UK if you wish to continue using eBay.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 week ago · EditedPrices showing in US.com Default US $$s --- As @sml192 advises --- seems that you have been caught between two sites with the opening of ebay.co.uk which became functional in late September 1999.
Anyone within the UK purchasing from you will be subject to Import VAT 20%.
No longer possible to transfer account details between sites so it may be necessary to open a new .co.uk account for domestic sales throughout the UK.

·1 week ago · EditedDo you already have bank details set up on this account or are you trying to set them up for the first time?
Looking at when you registered this account it was around the time that eBay.co.uk first launched. Initially it was just a mirror of the eBay.com site so that could be the cause.
You are probably going to need to talk eBay Customer Services regarding this. You can request a callback using the following link on a phone or tablet (not PC):
